Integrating your ticketing system with FutureFeed helps streamline the management of compliance tasks, such as POA&Ms and Projects, by automatically generating tickets. Many popular MSP ticketing systems, such as Jira Service Management, Zendesk, ConnectWise Manage, Autotask, Freshservice, ServiceNow, and Kaseya BMS, allow the assignment of an email address that parses emails and automatically creates tickets.
The below is a How-To guide on utilizing this feature with the implementation steps provided.
Step 1: Setting Up the Ticketing System Integration
To begin integrating your ticketing system with FutureFeed:
- Navigate to the Onboarding Rocket section and locate the Communications subway stop.
- Enter the email address associated with your ticketing system. This will allow FutureFeed to send compliance-related tickets directly to your ticketing platform.
Step 2: Ticketing POA&Ms and Projects
FutureFeed offers ticket creation for both:
- POA&Ms (Plan of Action and Milestones): These are individual compliance tasks you may want to ticket.
- Projects: These are groups of related POA&Ms, allowing you to track multiple tasks with a single ticket.
In the Your FutureFeed subway stop, you will find an email button next to each POA&M and project:
- For POA&Ms: Click the email button to send a ticket directly to your ticketing system. You can also add additional notes before sending the email.
- For Projects: Click the email button next to the project to create a single ticket containing a list of all the associated POA&Ms.
Step 3: Marking POA&Ms Complete via the Ticketing System
Each ticket generated by FutureFeed includes a special link at the bottom, marked “here.” A FutureFeed authorized user can click this link to mark the POA&M as complete within FutureFeed. This ensures that you receive credit for resolving the task in your compliance system.
This integration not only helps you manage and track compliance tasks efficiently but also provides an easy way to close out POA&Ms directly through your ticketing system.
