Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in FutureFeed: Supported Options
To enhance security, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is required for all users who sign in to FutureFeed. This guide outlines the three supported methods for setting up MFA, along with additional tips for a seamless login experience.
MFA Options Available
FutureFeed supports the following MFA methods:
- Okta Verify
- Google Authenticator
- Security Key or Biometric Authenticator (e.g., passkey, YubiKey, fingerprint, Face ID)
Note: One-Time Passwords (OTP) sent via SMS or email are not supported.
Device-Free Setup with Browser Tools
All supported MFA methods can be configured using password and authentication management tools that work directly in your browser—such as 1Password. This allows you to manage your MFA without the need for a mobile device.
1Password offers:
- A desktop application
- A browser extension
From user experience, the Security Key or Biometric Authenticator method is the easiest and quickest to enable.
Enabling Single Sign-On (SSO) with Microsoft
After setting up MFA, users whose email is associated with a Microsoft account are encouraged to enable Single Sign-On (SSO). This streamlines the login process and adds another layer of security.
To sign in using SSO:
- Navigate to the FutureFeed sign-in page.
- Click the "Sign in with Microsoft" button.
- Enter your Microsoft credentials.
