How Evidence Connections Work Across Frameworks in FutureFeed

How Evidence Connections Work Across Frameworks in FutureFeed

Overview

FutureFeed is designed so that evidence uploaded to People, Tools, and Documents is framework-agnostic. Once evidence is attached to an item, it becomes available to every framework that references it.

Example

If your Access Control Policy includes evidence linked to both CMMC 03.01.01 and ISO 27001 / 27002 Control 5.2, that same evidence automatically applies to both frameworks.

Your organization operates under one unified policy set — different frameworks simply provide separate lenses of review.

Three Ways to Connect Existing Evidence to a New Framework

When adding a new framework (for example, ISO 27001) to an existing CMMC assessment, you can connect existing evidence in three ways:

1. Use the Connect Tab

  • Open the relevant policy or document.

  • Go to the Connect tab.

  • Search by keyword for the new framework’s controls (e.g., ISO 27001).

  • Add those controls to the item’s connections.

2. Copy the Entire Framework

  • Navigate to the Assess Subway Stop.

  • Click the large Copy Framework button.

  • Copy data from CMMC → ISO (or vice versa).

  • This one-time operation uses FutureFeed’s pre-programmed mappings to align evidence with related controls.

  • You can repeat the operation later in either direction.

  • It does not overwrite — it appends to existing data.

3. Copy an Individual Control

  • Open a single control.

  • Click Copy Control.

  • This functions like Copy Framework but offers finer-grained control over what is copied.

Pricing

Adding an additional framework to an existing assessment is pro-rated to your renewal date, ensuring a single consolidated invoice for the year.
